Wizard World Chicago! Artist Alley Table 3400!
Hi all.
Kei, T and I will be absent from subway sketching for the next 3 weekends. We will resume on Sept. 2nd.
We're going to be in Chicago Aug 9-12 for the Wizard Convention - Table 3400 in Artist Alley.
Then it's TCAF in Toronto the weekend after and then it's the BIG Toronto con, the FAN EXPO. Can't wait for that one!! Sorry about this... but don't worry. Comicon season is coming to a halt end of this month.
These weren't from this Sunday's subway sketching but we were on a bus at the "African Lion Safari" in Hamilton Ontario. We had a pretty fun time. I haven't been there for over 20 years...

Soon I will bring my son to the zoo of Barcelona to draw some sketches... Well... he is only 3 years old but... ehem ehem... sure it will be a great day!!! A years ago here in Barcelona we had to Copito de Nieve, the only white gorilla in the world.... I sketched him sometimes.... Since its death I haven't returned.... I am excited with to return to see more wonderful animals, although they don't be white!!!

Thanks so much guys! Yeah that lion had a seriously bad hair day! It got real humid= frizz! LOL..Wow Antonio, wish I could have seen that albino gorilla! Animals are just so amazing.

hahaha... Kei, I didn't even realize those monkeys you drew are playing with their poop!
Why are monkeys and apes so interested with their poop?? I drew the monkeys when one was trying to eat the poop straight out of the other one's butt... pretty gross...

I especially love the elephant because I've never seen an elephant stylised like that before... And elephants rock!

Yeah... those elephants are so cute! When we first arrived, there were 7 beautiful elephants holding tails and walking towards the river for their daily swim. There was a very cute little baby elephant walking with the herd. We only had 5 to 7 minutes to observe the elephants but Kei did a great job at capturing the essence of that little guy. I love how she captured those eyes!
