BORDERS - Marshmallow & Holly

A few months ago I did the winter holiday campaign for BORDERS bookstores. Unfortunately we live up in Canada where there is no BORDERS.

I wonder if I could ask for a small favor?

If anyone can take a picture of the illustrations at Borders and email them to me, I'd be very appreciative!
email: kei at imaginismstudios.com

As a token of my appreciation, I'd be happy to post the pics on our blog and put a link to your blog :)

I really just want to see what it looks like in the stores! We're going to try to take a road trip down but things have been really busy around here so we might not be able to go.

The characters I was asked to create was a little fairy named Holly and a cute little polar bear cub named Marshmallow. It was a really fun job. Thanks BORDERS!

I was at Borders this past weekend and got an opportunity to see them, before checking out your blog. I think they're great. Especially the display piece were the fairies are twirling on the books powered by small motors. I asked a guy who works there, what they do with the displays once the promotion is over. He said, they'll either send them back or throw them away. I actually want that piece and a few others, because they make such great decoration pieces. Nice job.

Hi Bobby-

My name is Michael Campbell and I'm a admirer of your amazing artwork. I live in Kernersville, NC. I'm at Border's right now and the manager said it was cool for me to take some photos of your work. She said she put up all of the displays herself. I told her who did the artwork and she wanted your web url to check out some more of your work. her name is Kim.

I'm sending you the photos I took in a web page format. I hope you like them. This was so much fun to do. thanks for sharing your work with the world.

Sincerely-

Michael Campbell

I just had to google Marshmallow because when I was in Borders the other day he was so adorable I was dying! That's how I ended up here. I donated a dollar to charity so I could get the bookmark with the picture on it. excellent work.

Hey there, I work for Borders, and I was really impressed with the look of Marshmallow, so I'd finally reminded myself to look closely enough to look at the copyright on all the promotional material to see the artist copyright. Now that I know your name, I can track your other work. Great job! I look forward to more.

My friend absolutely LOVES Marshmallow, but why doesn't he have his own book?!? I hope you can promote this idea - he is too adorable to be around only this holiday season!

I walked into a Borders yesterday and all I could concentrate on were all the adorable promotional pieces of Marshmallow and Holly. I found a small-sized calendar with more images and a greeting card. Also found some beautiful gift bags of the duo. I did a search this morning to find out more about the artist. Love your art. It just makes you happy. It is a bit reminiscent of Ruth Morehead's illustrations.

Beautiful work. I hope there will be more of Marshmallow and Holly.
