lifedrawings from Bobby's class..

Every so often, I would try to tag along with Bobby to his life drawing classes at Sheridan College for some good ol practice. I love the energy of his classes, from both him and his students-- its a really calming place for me. So here are some from the other day that I'd like to share, of this very petit Hawaiian lady.

These were done in manila paper, 18 x 24 inches, with some conte.

Kei, great gestures. I can't get enough of your work. I find all of you here so inspiring. Makes want to go take a figure drawing class right now. Lord knows it's been a couple of decades.

Keep up the great work.

I love the appeal and the simplicity of your life drawings Kei. I hope you will post more. Drawing costumed figure has been so much fun so far (and to think we only just started!)

Thank you guys for the comments, I really appreciate it.

Jason and Mara- Thanks so much!

Shawn Escott- Glad you like it! I was going for a more doll-like look to her face on the 3rd one.

Carlos Castellanos- Thank you very much! We're glad we inspire you. I think its very importannt to practice life drawing--wether if its in a class or just in a cafe. its our workout--when we stop doing it, we get rusty. But just as long as you keep drawing and learning, art becomes even more fun right?!

Jinny- Thank you! Your drawings have been improoving wonderfully!

Lettie- Thanks a lot! Yeah it was a good session, you guys are really doing great!

Nils- Thank you, glad you liked it! I went for a more Hawaiian feel type of drwing for that.
